Udawalawe Elephant Safari & Wildlife Day Tour from Ahungalla – Get Wild in Sri Lanka’s Southern Plains

Udawalawe National Park is one of the most popular wildlife parks in Sri Lanka. This is the only national park in Sri Lanka where you will see elephants on any day throughout the year. It's located on the side of Udawalawe reservoir, covering an area of about 300 square km and home to many elephants and other animals. Different types of habitat within the park make it an ideal destination for travelers to enjoy nature and wildlife. Udawalawe elephant transit home is a rehabilitation and conservation center and is one of the must-visit destinations in Sri Lanka where baby elephants are cared for before they are released into the wild. Today, it's home to about 50 orphaned baby elephants. Started in 1995 by the wildlife department of Sri Lanka. The main purpose of this home is to give an assistant to baby elephants live independently and survive in their own home. They get milk feeding 03 times every day. It's very nice to see how babies race with each other to get their turn to feed milk.
